Science That Serves People
We power digital health research at leading institutions. Now, we're bringing these scientifically-validated programs directly to you.
The Proof: The NPR Resilience Challenge
Northwestern University's Dr. Judith Moskowitz partnered with NPR in fall 2024 to offer her resilience program. Over 11,000 participants enrolled, with BrightOutcome providing the digital platform for this groundbreaking study.
- Anxiety and depression reduced and positive affect increased
- Sleep quality improved and social isolation decreased
- Sense of self-efficacy rose
- The more people used it, the better their results
That success showed us these programs should be available to everyone who needs them.
Five Evidence-Based Programs
Resilience Training
Build resilience through seven proven positive psychology skills - the same program from the 11,000-participant NPR Resilience Challenge. Learn to notice and savor positive events, practice gratitude and mindfulness, reappraise stressful situations, focus on personal strengths, set attainable goals, and develop self-compassion. Developed through 20+ years of NIH-funded research, this program has been proven effective across diverse populations facing various types of life stress.

Menopause Self-Management
Navigate menopause with comprehensive, evidence-based support. Over 85% of women experience multiple symptoms during menopause, lasting an average of 7 years. This program provides strategies for symptom management, emotional wellbeing, pain and inflammation reduction, disease prevention approaches, and nutrition and exercise guidance. Includes didactic content, multimedia experiential practices, community forums, and integration with health wearables and mobile apps.

Chronic Pain Self-Management
Reduce pain impact through evidence-based non-pharmacological approaches. Nearly 50 million U.S. adults suffer from persistent pain, with 20 million experiencing chronic pain that negatively affects daily life. This program teaches self-management tools, mindfulness and mind-body techniques, and provides community support. Features instructional videos from providers on topics like sleep, inflammation, and stress, plus guided audio practices including body scans, meditations, and mindful movement exercises.

Migraine Self-Management
Manage migraine through mindfulness-based strategies targeting stress - the top-reported trigger. Half of the 45 million Americans with migraine require bedrest for relief, and a third turn to opioids for acute relief. This self-guided digital program uses a biopsychosocial framework to teach mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques specifically designed for individuals suffering from migraine. Learn to identify and manage triggers, understand the mind-body connection, and build sustainable self-management skills.

Mindfulness Training
Develop foundational mindfulness skills for wellbeing in modern life. Mindful awareness means paying full attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity, and compassion - one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves, yet also one of our greatest challenges in today's fast-paced, distracted world. This digital training program supports development of foundational skills, attitudes, and behaviors of mindfulness. Created by meditation practitioners, teachers, and researchers to meet each student wherever they are in their learning journey.
